STUNNING WEDDING AT PENNARD HOUSE IN SOMERSET
When Kat and Ed first got in touch with me about their Pennard House wedding in Somerset, I was super excited – they were planning the most beautiful and stylish wedding with an outdoor ceremony, a live band and amazing canapés & cocktails. Kat and Ed are the most adventurous & fun couple, I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
I started shooting at Pennard House in the morning where the bride and her friends were getting ready in the Orchard room. It was so relaxed because all the girls were there chilling out before the big day. Kat wore the most incredible silk Alexander Wang dress and Ed wore a stunning navy blue suit teamed with bright orange flowers. They looked so beautiful I actually cried my own tears!
The wedding took place on the lawns at Pennard House, and was a romantic outdoor ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which where great fun. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together and were showered with homemade dried flower confetti. Their family & friends nibbled away on incredible canapés made by Caroline Gent Catering and cocktails on the lawn in the September sun. The Washboard Resonators played swing and folk music while everyone mingled, it was literally perfect.
The wedding reception took place in the Coach House barn next to Pennard House, which they’d decorated with colourful balloons and flowers. It was stunning.
It was a bright and sunny day, which was perfect. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our couples session is one of Kat & Ed in the rose garden. I was 32 weeks pregnant shooting this wedding & I was on my knees in the rose bushes to get this shot. Hilarious!
For dinner they had a slap up meal, and it was absolutely delicious. After dinner they had some wonderful speeches, then the couple had their first dance and the party got started. They also had Le Café Crème, a mobile Crêperie serving delicious crêpes and fresh coffees from a converted vintage Citroen HVan, this was a huge hit. Anyway I could go on for ever as this was one of the BEST!
Here’s their Incredible Pennard House wedding! Enjoy x
