Macs Farm wedding – Emma and Steve

If you’re planning a Macs Farm wedding, you’ll find tons of inspo from this wedding!

When Emma and Steve first got in touch with me about their wedding at Macs Chicken Farm, I was so excited – they were planning a really fun barn wedding with an outdoor ceremony and live music for the reception. Emma and Steve are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding and who doesn't like chickens

Getting ready

I started off shooting at a cosy little air bnb in Ditchling, where the bride and her family were getting ready, and it was so much fun, because all the girls were there in their incredible green bridesmaid dresses and the flowers where just stunning. Emma wore the most stylist & slick white dress and Steve wore a three-piece suit and they looked really gorgeous.

Ceremony

The wedding took place at Macs Chicken Farm in Ditchling, which is a working chicken farm in the Sussex countryside. They had a stunning outdoor ceremony in a lush green field surrounded by their close friends and family. They had personal vows they’d written themselves, which was so beautiful and had everyone is tears and fits of giggles.

After the ceremony they were showered with rose petal confetti, and then the celebrations began.

The party

The wedding reception took place in the old Chicken barn. It's a huge rustic barn which they’d decorated with incredible pampas grass and eucalyptus flowers, gold cutlery and stunning tableware along long tables. They had a dance floor, glitter ball & a soft play for all the kiddos, It was just so incredible.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the farm doing fun and creative portraits. My favorite photo from our portrait session is when we snuck off into the chicken barn! Check it out below!

During the reception they had a lovely BBQ meal with friends and family, which everyone loved.

Afterward the meal, there were a few speeches which were hilarious! Everyone was just crying with laughter! Then the evening music kicked off and the dance floor was packed all evening. They started off with a Cèilidh, which was a great laugh then a DJ & live saxophonist played epic tunes all night long!

It's hard to select images for my blog posts but these are a few of my absolute favorites form their wedding. Thanks so much for having me x
