 When Ellie and Jonathan first got in touch with me about their Firle Place wedding in Sussex, I was SUPER excited – they were planning the most beautiful and stylish garden wedding. Ellie was planning & styling the wedding herself & we spoke regularly about her ideas so I could not wait to see the results! They had an incredible Gin bar, the most fabulous home made photo booth and even hand made lawn games. Ellie and Jonathan are the nicest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Bridal prep

I started shooting at Rathfinny Wine Estate, where the bride and her family were relaxing before the big event, it was a really calm & lovely atmosphere. Ellie wore a stunning white dress from O Zone in Brighton and Jonathan wore a stunning tailored suit. They looked so incredible, the perfect outfits to compliment their incredibly stylish wedding.

The ceremony

The wedding service took place in Firle church which is a small, quaint country church hidden in the village. It was a stunning intimate ceremony. They had some beautiful readings & their friends sang, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together and were showered with colourful confetti, and then the celebrations began.

The wedding reception took place Firle Place in a large barn, which they’d decorated with stunning flowers, candles and their own incredible style. It was so unique and beautifully designed.

It was a slightly rainy day, which didn’t bother them at all. While the guests played lawn games, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits.
