COLOURFUL AND FABULOUS GATE STREET BARNS WEDDING

When Jess and JJ first got in touch with me about their wedding plans at Gate Street Barn in Surrey, I was so excited – they were planning the most romantic and stylish wedding with a church ceremony, Barn reception & a live band. Jess and JJ are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The excitement before the wedding

I started shooting at Gate Street Barns, where Jess and her family were getting ready together, it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Jess wore a stunning lace dress and JJ wore a smart grey suit and they looked so perfect.

The ceremony

The wedding took place at the Holy Trinity Church, Bramley, and was a traditional church ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. JJ's grandmother got married in this very church so it was a very emotional day for all. We took some photos outside the church to emulate JJ's Grand mothers wedding photos. Very emotional. After the ceremony they were showered with confetti, and then we all got on the old red London bus to the reception. The bus drove us all through the countryside back to Gate Street Barns. The champagne was flowing and everyone was in such a great mood laughing & joking on the bus.

The reception

The wedding reception took place at Gate Street Barns in Surrey, which is one of the most beautiful wedding venues. It was absolutely stunning. English Longhorn cattle roam around the fields as guests sipped champers and ate incredible canapés created by the fantastic Kalm Kitchen.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed canapés and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits.

During the reception they had live music, which was great fun. For dinner they had a slap up lamb meal, and it was absolutely delicious. After dinner they had some wonderful speeches, JJ got roasted by his 3 best men - hilarious! Then the couple hit the dance floor and the band kicked off the party. What a wonderful wedding, thank you so much for having me guys.
