A Family Affair in Brighton: Charlotte & Lawrence’s Intimate Brighton Town Hall Wedding

If there is one thing Charlotte and Lawrence wanted for their wedding day, it was for it to feel exactly like them. No fuss, no thousand-person guest list—just their favorite people, the sound of the English Channel, and, most importantly, their four-legged best friend.

Brighton has a way of making "small" feel "grand," and their mid-week celebration was the perfect example of coastal cool meets classic romance.

The Ceremony: History at the Town Hall

The day kicked off at the Brighton Town Hall. Tucked just a stone's throw from the seafront, this Grade II listed building is a masterpiece of Regency architecture.

Charlotte arrived looking awesome in denim, but it was the couple’s dog—sporting a bespoke floral collar—who nearly stole the show as the unofficial "Best Dog." In the stunning Regency Room, surrounded by heavy wood paneling and the soft glow of chandeliers, Charlotte and Lawrence traded vows in a ceremony that was short, sweet, and deeply personal.

The Promenade: Pebbles, Paws, and the Pier

After the "I dos," the new Mr. and Mrs. headed straight for the shoreline. While many couples opt for a car, these two took a stroll through the Lanes, soaking up the cheers from locals and tourists alike.

The Beach

There’s a raw, cinematic beauty to Brighton’s pebble beach. The couple took a moment to play with their pup by the water's edge. The contrast of formal wedding attire against the rugged textures of the coast made for some of the most authentic shots of the day.

The Brighton Palace Pier

You can’t have a Brighton wedding without the iconic West Pier. With the skeletal remains of the West Pier in the background, Charlotte and Lawrence’s portraits captured that quintessential British seaside nostalgia.

The Highlight: A candid shot of the couple sharing a laugh while their dog tried to figure out if a seagull was a friend or a foe. It’s these unscripted moments that make small weddings so magical.

Thinking of a Brighton Micro-Wedding?

  • The Venue: Brighton Town Hall offers various rooms for different sizes, from the intimate Regency Room to the grand Council Chamber.
  • The Guest List: Keeping it small means you can spend more time on those iconic pier photos!
  • Dog-Friendly Vibes: Brighton is one of the most dog-friendly cities in the UK—many venues and pubs will welcome your pet with open arms.

Are you planning on including your pets in your ceremony, or are they strictly "reception only" guests?
