BARTHOLOMEW BARN WEDDING – ELISE AND ALEX

Elise and Alex got married at Bartholomew Barn, which is a Grade II listed Barn in the heart of the Sussex countryside. With stunning countryside views and gardens, this venue is very special. It was a beautiful day for an autumnal wedding.

The ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service inside the barn with the open fire roaring and live music playing for the guests on arrival. During the ceremony they had several readings from friends and family. It was such a personal service.

They decorated the barn with colourful flowers created by the very talented Brighton Florist Webb & Farrer which I just loved. The reception look place in the barn at Bartholomew Barn – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits in the gardens and the fields.

Why Bartholomew Barn is a great place to get married

Bartholomew Barn has a really laid-back vibe, and is one of the nicest barns to get married in Sussex. The venue offers top-class catering – and there are loads of amazing places that are perfect for photos.

The reception

The couple had live music playing all day by the fab wedding band called Hand Fulla Soul. During the ceremony & the drinks reception the guys were singing along with their guitars and saxophone. Absolutely brilliant! Their first dance was to their favourite song, Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson. They finished off the evening with loads more dancing. It was such a great night.

The couple

Elise wore a classic white & lace dress from Helena Fortley and Alex wore a navy suit and they looked really gorgeous. Elise wore a beautifully hand made flower crown from the fabulous Webb & Farrer florist. The bridesmaids wore emerald green dress which were stunning against the autumn colours of the flowers. Great colour choice!

The couple got in touch with me years ago pre covid. They said they wanted a fun wedding photographer, and I loved that they were just so relaxed about their day. After a few swapped dates they finally managed to tie the knot and how lovely it was. Thank you so much for having me at your wedding, it really was beautiful.
